Hi! I’m Rachel. I’m a photographer based in Powhatan, Virginia, a proud mama to my daughter Makenna, and wife to my husband, Kevin.
My love for photography started back in high school during a film photography class, and that spark came rushing back the moment I picked up a camera to capture my daughter’s milestones. What began as a way to document her life quickly grew into a passion for preserving the moments that mean the most, the ones we want to remember long after they’ve passed.
There’s something incredibly special about turning everyday moments into memories you can hold onto. Whether I’m photographing couples, weddings, or families, my heart is always focused on capturing real connection and honest emotion. My goal is to create images that feel warm, authentic, and true to your story.

The Process
01. Inquire
Fill out the contact form with a few details about your session, wedding, or event. I’ll review your inquiry and get back to you within 1–2 business days with availability and next steps.
02. Connect
We’ll chat about your vision, location ideas, timeline, and any questions you may have. For weddings or larger sessions, we’ll schedule a consultation call to make sure we’re the perfect fit.
03. Reserve Your Date
Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send over your contract and invoice. A signed agreement and retainer officially secure your date on my calendar.
04. Plan Your Session
After booking, you’ll receive a questionnaire to help me get to know you, your style, and any important details. Together we’ll plan everything from outfits and locations to timelines and special requests.
05. Capture Your memories
Session day is here! I’ll guide you through the experience so you can relax, have fun, and enjoy the moment while I document it authentically.
06. Gallery Delivery
After your session, I’ll carefully edit your images and deliver your online gallery. From there, you can download your photos, share them with loved ones, and order prints if available.
